    I have 15 million ideas brewing but haven’t acted on most of them and am wondering how long they’ll be around. maybe something about having a dog with cancer, the summer heat, the political environment, the misinformation, the competition of who is best at AI in the workplace, all the bad AI content, or the numerous other things in the world has me really wanting to hold onto something tangible and make something enjoyable. for myself. mostly offline (or at least off social media). in my house. and honestly, I’m thankful for feeling something/anything in this year that’s not just anxiety and dread. creativity! where ya been!

    2026 creative pursuits
    -using (and learning) my new camera
    -chasing wildflowers for photos and inspiro
    -zines
    -(re)learning to draw & filling up a sketchbook
    -this website/blog & posting things online again
    -local shows including a noise fest; promptly dreamt up a noise band
    -revisiting my beat machine with a plan & name for the noise band
    -live-action construction paper animation (next up! hopefully)

    honorable mention(s)
    -built web apps using VS Code to learn AI design/dev evolution first-hand // it’s actually been nice to feel like I’m (kind of :eye roll emoji:) coding again. at least having an idea & then troubleshooting and refining in code. (and yo I’ve never claimed to be a dev anyway, but I could build a mad HTML website back in my day, and was really skilled at livejournal CSS, and definitely used some SQL & HTML in my marketing automation yrs/)
    -daydreaming about NM:BCC (veg burrito & coffee cart that will always be my fallback plan)

  • wild (flowers)

    I’ve been wanting to photograph flowers with my new camera and was really hoping to come across indian paintbrush on my recent wildflower hunt. but instead I paid to visit a field with a lot of wildflowers (or not-so-wild-wildflowers as it were. ha) planted in rows by color and type. it was such a cool spot. and while not the hunt I originally envisioned it definitely brought its own inspiration: I could also own land like this. and charge people to visit. I could have farm animals that people pay to feed. I could grow rows of wildflowers that people pay to pick. or, instead, maybe just a few planters for my own enjoyment? yes. I need to start a (flower) garden. planters of wildflowers is now on my growing list of things to do in the backyard; flowers for photos and admiring and sharing.
